Our journey began in 2014 with the launch of the Biogeo brand, dedicated to the recycling of bioplastics such as PLA and bioPBS, materials so little known at the time that many confused them with Bio-PET. In 2020, we expanded into the thermoplastic elastomer sector with the introduction of Elastogeo, another family of highly specialized polymers.
Over the years, Gianeco has refined its work, achieving important certifications: our recycled plastic content is guaranteed at 95% for elastomers and 100% for bioplastics, and in 2023 we also obtained the prestigious ISO 9001 certification. Our attention to detail, from the traceability of each batch to the care of the production cycle, represents added value for companies looking to truly become eco-sustainable.
But all of this stems from the heart of Gianeco: two visionary and passionate people, Giuseppe Cozzetto and Viktoriia Krykun. Their motto is clear and powerful: "To take care of the environment and others, you must start with yourself."
Up until five years ago, Giuseppe and Viktoriia were primarily focused on business and family growth. But the call of nature, and the desire to live more consistently with their ecological values, pushed them to take on a new challenge: the marathon. This is not just a 42 km 195 m race, but a true inner journey. In 2022, they completed their first marathon in Berlin, followed by the legendary New York Marathon in 2023. Just a few days ago, they returned from Chicago with a new medal around their necks.
Viktoriia reflects on this transformation: "The marathon is a tough challenge; it requires constant training, regardless of weather conditions, and unwavering motivation. I hated my first marathon, I chose the second one, and I loved the third. Running has now become part of who I am, a way to reconnect with the nature around me. Taking care of my body and health allows me to work at my best and actively contribute to safeguarding the environment and our planet."
Giuseppe, on the other hand, emphasizes the importance of consistency: "Our thoughts, words, and actions must be in harmony. If we work in the ecological sector, we cannot afford to contradict our values with harmful habits, like throwing cigarette butts on the ground. We must be a living example, leading a healthy and challenging life."

In 2025, new challenges await them, both professionally and athletically, but with one certainty: every step taken to improve oneself is a step toward a more sustainable world.
